    Scope of the Position

    The Corporate Chrome Plating Manager is responsible for creating, coordinating, implementing, and improving chrome plating/polishing system procedures. This will be done by providing direction and support to teams of staff responsible for the creation of corporate system procedures, with emphasis on corporate-wide standardization, continuous improvement in product quality, cost, and customer satisfaction. In addition, this position will be responsible for performing and coordinating follow up compliance audits at all Flex-N-Gate facilities.

     

    Responsibilities

      • Standardize all chrome plating/policy operating procedures company-wide.
      • Benchmarking all chemistry processes, useages, uptime, bars per hour, first-time quality metrics.
      • Responsible for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
      • Support the company in the creation and implementation of ISO/IATF compliant chrome plating/policy procedures.
      • Document all activities as required.
      • Provide support and maintain compliance with all company guidelines, customer requirements, and ISO 9001:2015/IATF 16949:2016.
      • Develop and perform internal audits at all Flex-N-Gate facilities to ensure adherence to all corporate quality system procedures.
      • Perform additional assignments per manager’s direction.
      • The incumbent is responsible for the awareness, understanding, specific responsibilities and management of the Environmental Management System (EMS) as stated in EMS Policy CEVPL.005

     

     

    Qualifications

     

        • Bachelor’s Degree in quality engineering or related technology or equivalent.
        • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility that offered the opportunity to gain a well-rounded background in quality/business operating systems.
        • Knowledge of chrome plating/polishing production process, machines, tools, including design and uses.
        • Strong organizational skills.
        • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
        • Proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office.
        • Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize.
        • Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail.
        • Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives are prerequisites.
        • Strong analytical ability
        • Supervisory and interpersonal skills are required
        • Troubleshooting ability is required
        • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
        • Demonstrated good internal and external customer service skills
        • Good presentation skills
        • Ability to manage multiple projects.
