Overview

Scope of the Position

Fascia Repair is responsible for the inspection and repair of front and rear fascias for release back to production for use. All unrepairable parts are tore down and all good components are removed from fascia to use in production. All damaged goods are then required to be dispositioned into a scrap defect log.

Responsibilities

  • Review defective parts, rework parts that are repairable. After part is repaired place an “R” on the label.
  • Tear down parts that are not repairable, return all good parts to workstations.
  • Inside fascia write ownership of defect, date and shift, enter in scrap.
  • Cover defect parts and place in reject bin.
  • Component tear down, visual checks for defects, disposition supplier or SPD. All fascia scrap is to be recorded on spreadsheet defect log.  SPD scrap for fascia and components are to be logged into CMS system.
  • End of shift all defective components are to go to the hold area and placed in designated containment after QA Supervisor validates all scrap.
  • If there are no fascia repairs or tear downs they are to help online.
  • End of shift all garbage, debris and work area must be clean before the start of next shift.
  • Defect log sheet to be emailed out, end CMS session.
  • Re-introducing fascia into production, all components and electrical wire harness must be removed.
  • All salvaged components must be removed and electrical wire harness. Place all salvaged components into proper location and place a letter “R” on components. Ensure wire harness are the latest level.
  • Remove all components from fascia and inspect the components for any damage. If components are acceptable.
